About 200 diners enjoyed fried catfish and delicious sides and desserts along with Black Oak’s famous hospitality on Saturday October 24. The event was a fundraiser for a building project. Concession trailers are in place throughout Buford Park as preparations for Friday’s Hopkins County Stew Contest have begun. The forecast for October 23 is for a 100% chance of rain, but the Stew Contest is still scheduled. A flash flood watch is in effect for the region for late Thursday night through late Saturday night.
