On June 20th Hopkins County Judge Robert Newsom confirmed that the State of Texas had reported that one person has died in Hopkins County due to complications of COVID-19. The Local Health Authority of Hopkins County is challenging the determination as the patient had underlying health conditions. No more information is known about the case or the patient at this time.
