Patrick McMahan Arraigned in Maynard Murder

Two men accused in the murder of 66-year old Gary Maynard at his home were indicted by a Hopkins County Grand Jury on December 8. Both 31-year old Patrick Wayne McMahan of Sulphur Springs and 26-year old Cody Scott Shaw of Emory were indicted for capital murder. Two Hopkins County men have been charged with possessing child pornography. Another arrest or two are possible pending a forensic download of a computer in Tyler. The cases are not believed to be connected.
