Saltillo Lions State Champs in 1A; Miller Grove Boys 3rd, Girls 5th

The Saltillo Lions captured the state 1A title at the State Cross Country Meet Saturday at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock. The Lions were led by Walker McGill who finished 13th. Once again Hopkins County showed its’ strength in cross country at the regional meet Saturday at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie. In boys Class 1A, Saltillo was first in the region.
