Tuesday afternoon, January 29, 2019, Landon Thornton filed for Place 6 on the Sulphur Springs City Council. Thornton will face Doug Moore in the May 4th Municipal Election. Both men will seek a one year term to fill the unexpired term of Dan Froneberger, who resigned from the council in April last year.
