The Transitional First Grade classes of the Early Childhood Learning Center will be hosting a Veterans’ Appreciation Breakfast and presenting a program for the school and community on Tuesday, November 10, 2015. You will have two opportunities to view the program. We will perform for the Head Start and Pre-K classes at 9:00 a.m., followed by an encore presentation for the Kindergarten students and community members at 9:40 a.m. The program will be presented in the ECLC Developmental Play Area. The 20th Anniverary of the Lights of Life Campaign began Tuesday in the lobby of Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. Gloria Mitchell, Donna Rudzik and Polly Swatsell the 2015-2016 Lights of Life Campaign Chairs officially kicked-off of the celebration campaign. It is an in town route that goes around by Hospital, Library and that area. You will be blessed more than you know. The Saputo dairy product manufacturing company held an employee picnic in Heritage Park on October 17, 2015. A meal was served employees and a number of employee’s children were also present. Over 200 persons were in the audience at Shannon Oaks Church for the Sulphur Springs Red Carpet premiere of the movie “A Man Called Jon”. The film, created by the team of Michael Brown of Terrell and Eric King of Sulphur Springs, will also be premiered during November in other select locations. Sydnye is a 14 year old resident of Sulphur Springs and an 8th grader at Sulphur Springs Middle School. In March of 2013 Syd was rushed to Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler with extremely high glucose levels and other complications and was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes (Type 1). 10th Annual Heritage Square Car Show on Celebration Plaza

The 10th annual Heritage Square Car Show is coming up Saturday, November 7 on Celebration Plaza from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.  Downtown Business Alliance vice-President Jason Tully says about 180 cars were registered for the show last year and he expects 200 this year.  25 awards will be given and there will be lots of cash prizes.  All vehicles must be 1987 models or older.
