Vendors from all across Texas, whether they’re from Como or as far as Denison, flock to the downtown area. The vendors spend time setting their tents, tables, merchandise, and displays up for shoppers and onlookers alike. Sports Summer Camps Next Week

Sulphur Springs ISD is offering football and tennis camps next week. Each will have two different sessions daily based on this fall’s student grade level. Wildcat Football Coach Greg Owens will have football camp Tuesday through Thursday in the Multipurpose Building. Boys entering the third through the eighth grades will have camp each day from 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Cost is $45. Senior Olympics is Thursday, August 25th at the ROC at 1st Baptist Church 1K Race starts at 9:30 am and the other games start at 10:00 am. There are lots of categories that you can sign up to compete in.. CANHelp is gearing up for our annual PACK THE BUS School Supply drive (this will be our 6th official year) benefiting needy families in Hopkins County. We continue to serve 200-300 families each year and last year was our biggest year to date. We were able to give each child a backpack filled with almost all supplies needed to start the school year.
