Wanna Bees Quilting; I was not Prepared

This is not quiet group of pensioners drinking lemonade and talking about their grandchildren.  They haul in specialized sewing machines, portable ironing boards, and cutters that look sharp enough to trim burlap.  With cell phones ringing, and debates about patterns, basting, and pre-loaded bobbins, they hand craft quilts and other goods at a steady pace.

Projects are staged for completion, and several may be worked at once.  Moving from stage to stage, sewing, ironing, cutting, quilting made my head spin a bit.

There is an upcoming  quilting workshop Saturday January 21st, 2017, 9AM at the Senior Center.  All are welcomed to attend.

Wanna Bees circle of quilters meets from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. the third Tuesday and first Thursday of each month at League Street Church of Christ, 1100 South League St. in Sulphur Springs, TX.

I have a cursory knowledge of sewing, gained during my years in 4-H. The Wanna Bees picked up on this, and invited me to join the group.  I am reticent, they may be too intense for me.
