Spring seems like it may finally be here, so it’s time for the 34th Annual Chamber Golf Tournament, set for April 7 at the Sulphur Springs Country Club. Like last year, the registration fee for a six-person scramble team is $750, with tee times at 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. We have room for 25 afternoon teams and 18 morning teams on a first- come basis. The NETLA Hopkins County Junior Market Livestock Show 2023 Poultry Contest lead Friday’s activities. Youth filled the arena with pens, buckets, boxes and other containers filled with the chickens the students raised. As the judging of the chickens commenced, cattle was being brought in the other end of the arena in preparation for their time to be judged. February 24, 2023 – The SSISD Wildcat Jazz Band played a set at Craverstx Community Garden on Thursday night. Spectators filled the seats, and others stood around the fire pit. Walk Like Madd is a fundraiser for Mothers Against Drunk Driving, a organization that spreads awareness of the dangers of driving under the influence.
