Powerlifting Team Finished Third in Emory Meet

The Wildcats’ powerlifting team finished third in a meet at Emory Rains Saturday. Seven Wildcats received medals and lots of them had personal bests according to Wildcats Powerlifting Coach Jeremy Offutt. Taylor Ibarra was second in the 148-pound class and Colton Morrison finished second in the 198-pound class. The Wildcats’ basketball team arrived at the Christmas break with a 4-9 record. This is their first year under new Head Basketball Coach Clark Cipoletta, who was the Wildcats JV Coach the past couple of years. The Hopkins County Dixie Angels were eliminated from the 2014 Dixie Angels World Series in Atoka, Tennessee when they lost Tuesday night to Alabama. The local Angels also loss in the double-elimination tournament on Monday to North Carolina.
