Second Place Wildcats Host Marshall Tonight
The Wildcats’ baseball team lost to Pine Tree, 8-2 Thursday night at Eagle Stadium. The Wildcats’ had only 5 hits. Hunter Coleman took the pitching loss. Despite the loss the Wildcats, 8-4 in district play, remain in second place. The Wildcats have a key game with third place Marshall Friday night at 7 p.m. at Eagle Stadium. Lady Cats at Home Tonight in Must Win Game
The Lady Cats’ softball team struggled at the plate managing only one hit as they lost game 1 of their bi-district series to Whitehouse, 1-0 Thursday night at Brook Hill High School in Bullard. Mandi Stonaker had a clean single in the fifth inning. The Lady Cats will have to win a pair of games at home Friday night to advance in the playoffs.

The Wildcats’ golf team had an incredible day on the first day of the two-day Class 5A State Golf Tournament at The Hyatt Wolfdancer Golf Club in Lost Oaks near Bastrop. A Grand Opening ceremony for the new Sulphur Springs High School Tennis Complex took place Saturday morning.
