Lady Cats .500 in District Play
The Lady Cats’ volleyball team lost in straight sets, 3-0 to the district’s best Hallsville Tuesday night in Wildcats Gym. Hallsville put on an impressive display in a set one 25-6 win. The Lady Cats were much more competitive in sets two and three but still lost them, 25-21 and 25-20. The Lady Cats, 2-2 in district, play at Texas High Friday.
Lady Cats In Tyler Championship Bracket Saturday
The Lady Cats’ volleyball team ran their winning streak to five matches by taking all three matches they played in pool play in a Tyler tournament Thursday. The Lady Cats edged by Arp 2-1 in all close sets, downed West Hardin 2-0 and then rallied after losing a first set to defeat Sabine, 2-1. The Lady Cats advance into the Championship Bracket. SSHS Cross Country Season Begins
Wildcats and Lady Cats’ cross country runners will participate in the local Jace Jog 5K Run this weekend to get ready for the upcoming season according to Cross Country Coach Andy Holt. Wildcat Defensive Coordinator Triston Abron says the Rockwall Heath Hawks are extremely explosive on offense. The Wildcats face the Hawks Friday night at 7:30 in Prim Stadium. The Lady Cats’ volleyball team lost 2-0 to Prestonwood in the championship game at a Garland tourney Saturday. Earlier the Lady Cats downed Texas High, 2-1. Wildcat Team Tennis Plays Tough Duo
The Wildcats’ team tennis squad played two matches on Thursday in the Sherman-Denison area. Early Thursday, the Wildcats played Denison. Later early afternoon they played Sherman. Both were losses but that does not disappoint Wildcats Team Tennis Coach Tony Martinez.

Ladycats Scrimmage Cumby, Commerce Friday Morning
The Sulphur Springs High School Ladycats Volleyball team scrimmaged against Cumby and Commerce late Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. Freshman, JV and Varsity all scrimaged at the same time, with Freshman in the auxilliary gym and JV and Varsity in the main gym.
