A SWEPCO/Wood County Electric power outage in the Yantis area left approximately 12,000 customers without power. Yantis schools sent students home early due to the lack of electrical power. The outage occurred around 8 a.m. Tuesday morning and Power was restored in the Yantis Lake Fork area around 2:30 p.m. according to a customer affected by the outage.
