The Texas State Genealogical Society Conference was held at the Omni Hotel in San Antonio, Texas on November 1-4, 2018. Hopkins County Genealogical Society (HCGS) had several members in attendance. Opening arguments were presented by District Attorney Will Ramsay in Eighth Judicial District Court as a Hopkins County jury hears testimony in the trial focused on the death of Joshua Paul Cowling.
