According to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, on January, 2, 2019, Hopkins County Corrections Officer Sinead Nicole Hagan, 27, was arrested and charged with improper sexual activity with person in custody. As soon as the Jail Staff became aware of the Allegations of Sexual Activity between Hagan, a corrections officer, and an inmate, the Texas Rangers were notified. Flood Warning for South Sulphur River Issued Until New Year’s Day Afternoon
Once again the South Sulphur River between Hopkins and Delta Counties is under a Flood Warning. This warning is in effect until Tuesday Afternoon. At 10:15 a.m. Monday, the river stage was just above the 16 feet flood stage. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
