37-year old Alan Dale Rhys of Saltillo was charged with aggravated robbery before JP Ronny Glossup who set bond at $50,000. A man was shot and the shooter was beaten with a pipe wielded by a friend of the shooting victim after a confrontation at a residence on County Road 3366 in Saltillo Sunday afternoon (June 29th). Hopkins County Sheriff Butch Adams said Thursday that the latest start date for construction of the new County Jail is expected to be August 11. A key person for Sedalco of Fort Worth, the construction manager-at-risk, is expected to be off of another project and to be available for the new County Jail project here by that date.
