Unearthing Hopkins County’s Past

snow courthouse squareThe 25-year old time capsule buried to recognize the 75th anniversary of the Extension Service was unearthed and opened Monday (June 30th). The contents were in good shape. They included a Chamber 1989 calendar, a letter on the Sulphur Springs Main Street Project, a flyer publicizing the June 1989 Dairy Show, a Sulphur Springs Sunday newspaper, a city and county Resolution, lots of Extension Service material and a $1 bill.
