A quick start allowed the Lady Cats’ basketball team to get out to a big lead early on their way to a 55-25 over Mount Pleasant Friday night (February 1) in the Main Gym at Sulphur Springs High School. Traffic Stop Results in Marijuana Find
When Jose Luis Rodriguez, 25, of Sulphur Springs, failed to signal a turn at the corner of College Street and Mitchell Alley, a Hopkins County Sheriff’s Deputy initiated a traffic stop. The odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle prompted the deputy to ask if Rodriguez had been smoking the substance.
