Weekend Early Voting Adds to Total for November 6th Election
Weekend early voting for the November 6th mid-term election netted an additional 417 votes. Saturday, 265 voted. Sunday, 152 voted. Early voting continues in the Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 Courtroom. Flag Lowered to Half-Staff in Respect for Lives Lost at Pennsylvania Synagogue
As a mark of solemn respect for the victims of the act of violence perpetrated at The Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Saturday, October 27th, all flags are to fly at half-staff by order of the President. Locally, the Hopkins County Marine Corp League has lowered flags at the Veterans Memorial and around the community.
Man Arrested For Failure to Stop and Render Aid
Armando Resendiz Hernandez, 33, of Sulphur Springs, fled the scene of a major accident with serious injuries at the corner of Jackson and Fuller Streets. He failed to stop and render aid to individuals involved in the accident. He was located at his residence and admitted to operating his vehicle in the accident.
