Republican Women's Club To Meet Jan. 20 At Senior Center
Hopkins County Republican Women’s Club is scheduled to meet on Jan. 20, at 6 p.m. at the Senior Citizen’s Building, 150 Martin Luther King in Sulphur Springs. A “guest couple” will discuss their reasons for moving from California “to Texas and conservative territory.” Republican women are invited to “attend and become more informed.”
City Council Puts Curfew Ordinance On Hold
Sulphur Springs City Hall, 201 North Davis St. Sulphur Springs City Council during the regular Jan. 7 meeting postponed a vote on a proposed curfew for minors ordinance. City Attorney Jim McLeroy Tuesday night told the council that Ordinance No. 2762 would amend the Code of Ordinances with the addition of an article establishing curfew hours for unaccompanied minors.
