When the juvenile passenger of a 2017 Dodge Ram struck a bicyclist with his hand as the vehicle passed near the corner of Gilmer Street and Whitworth Street, a DPS trooper who viewed the incident made a traffic stop. The driver, Christopher Arlen Ray, 34, of Sulphur Springs showed signs of intoxication. A field sobriety test was conducted.
