He was born on August 9th, 1929 in Oklahoma City, to the late Edgar Chaffin and Pearl Biggerstaff Chaffin. Mr. Chaffin retired from U.S. Steel, was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Garland and has served as a Deacon since 1969.
