Six Sulphur Springs High School Wildcat baseball players attended two college showcase training days. Saturday they participated in the University of Louisiana at Monroe Showcase and Sunday they were at Louisiana Tech for the day.

Wildcat Soccer Defeats Garland, W. T. White in Rockwall Tournament
The Wildcats’ soccer team won their third straight game in a Rockwall tournament Friday defeating Garland, 2-0. Thursday the Wildcats bested Rockwall, 4-1 and Dallas W.T. White, 2-0. The Wildcats enter play in the Rockwall tournament with a season record of 5-1.
Accident at Pasture Party Results in Arrest
A pasture party on County Road 2420 resulted in a 911 call to Hopkins County Sheriff’s Dispatch regarding a hit and run accident. Dallas Man Arrested for Assault Family Violence
Responding to a call on Country Road 1142 Saturday morning at 3 a.m., Hopkins County Deputies found Michael Raynal Blackman, 22, of Dallas had fled the scene. He was found driving on FM 275 and stopped. The complainant was observed to have visible injuries on her neck, chin , and upper chest area. Lady Cats Win Second Game in Paris Tourney
The Lady Cats’ soccer team won their second game in a Paris tournament Friday downing former district foe Bonham, 6-0. Thursday the Lady Cats shut out Mabank, 2-0. The Lady Cats are now 3-1-1 for the season. The Lady Cats play Athens Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the Paris tournament.
Homecoming Games are Big Wins for Saltillo Lions, Lady Lions
Both the Saltillo Lions and Lady Lions got big wins over Fannindel Friday night. Mason McGill was presented as Homecoming Queen during the evening.
