The popular day respite program Terrific Tuesdays announces their new director. Tammi Reardon, new to Sulphur Springs, answered a job listing, provided her resume and was soon hired. Wildcats, Lady Cats Compete at Area Track Meet in Lovejoy Thursday
The Wildcats’ track team will have six athletes in six events and the Lady Cats’ track team will have seven athletes in ten events at Thursday’s Area Track Meet at Lovejoy Stadium. The North Hopkins Panthers defeated the Cumby Trojans in a district baseball game, 10-2 Tuesday at North Hopkins. The Panthers got off to a good start with one run in the bottom of the first and five more in the bottom of the second to lead 6-0. Lady Bears Defeated Lady Lions 7-4
Sulphur Bluff topped Saltillo in softball Tuesday 7-4 at Sulphur Bluff. The Lady Bears scored five first inning runs. Saltillo cut the lead to 5-4 after two runs each in the second and third innings. The Lady Cats’ softball team is now in a three-way tie for first place after games Tuesday night in the district. Mt. Pleasant defeated Texas High to give those two teams and the Lady Cats 9-2 records in district play.
