Tran Takes First at Van Zandt Golf Tournament

Lady Cat sophomore golfer Mariam Tran took first place at a tournament at the Van Zandt Country Club Tuesday (February 12). Tran shot an 80 and Lady Cats Coach Whitney Spigener said the round included an eagle that Tran made when her 68 yard shot went in the hole. Wildcats Powerlifting Coach Casey Jeter said he is building a Lady Cats’ powerlifting team. Right now it has two lifters: freshman Addyson Lamb and Sable Edemeyer. Coach Jeter said he took the girls to a meet in Honey Grove last weekend. Edemeyer, in the 165 pound weight class, placed fifth at the meet.
