Hanson Back in Hopkins County Jail

March 23, 2023 – Steven Derek Hanson is back in Hopkins County Jail. This time he was arrested for violation of parole on a Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 charge.

Sheriff’s Deputies stopped Hanson in the 500 block of Woodlawn St in Sulphur Springs around 10pm. Hanson reportedly cooperated with Law Enforcement, was arrested and transported to Hopkins County Jail without incident. The warrant for his arrest stipulates a $150,000 bond. His vehicle was impounded.

This is not the first time Hanson has been in Hopkins County Jail. He was arrested less than 1 week ago while attempting to remove copper from a city owned property. See that story here.
