Commerce Woman Arrested On Warrants Following Unruly Courtroom Behavior

A Commerce woman was arrested on two misdemeanor warrants following a disturbance during court proceedings.

Deputies were dispatched at around 11 a.m. to the district courtroom, to a complaint of an unruly person “acting out in court,” according to sheriff’s reports.

A records check showed the 23-year-old Commerce woman to be wanted on Hopkins County charges of possession or delivery of drug paraphernalia and speeding, resulting in her arrest on both outstanding charges, according to arrest reports.

She was released from jail later Thursday on the charges, according to jail reports.
