Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab is having a fundraiser Friday for two and a half year old River Laurence, who has a cancerous tumor in his stomach. The tumor has shrunk some with chemotherapy. Animal Abuse in Sulphur Springs (Please help)
The Sulphur Springs Police Department continues to investigate a case described as severe animal abuse. Last Tuesday, a city animal control officer found a German Shepard dog alive with what appeared to be a slashed throat. The wound was apparently caused by a sharp object. Librarian Kathy Houchins says the machine, new this school year, has been very successful and has received lots of positive comments.
