Meal-a-Day Seeks Volunteer Cook and Driver
Meal-a-Day Center at the Senior Citizen’s Building, 150 MLK Blvd. Sulphur Springs is seeking a cook for one day per week and an every week-day driver for the Como-Pickton route. The meal-a-day center furnishes a meal to homebound residents and other in Sulphur Springs and Hopkins County. Hopkins Rains County Farm Bureau Donate to Meal-a-Day
Hopkins-Rains County Farm Bureau donated $150 to the Meal-a-Day Program during Food Connection week. The donation was one of two made by the organization to programs that provide meals for senior adults. The second donation was made to the Rains County program.

Meal-A-Day is short one driver for Tuesday mornings. This will require about 1 hour of your time, from about 10:00 – 11:00. No CDL required. Karon Weatherman heads up the local organization. Every morning the volunteer cooks of Meal-A-Day arrive at the senior center at 7 am to prepare delicious meals for your local seniors. All meals are prepared and ready to deliver by 10 am.
