Two Hundred twenty-nine members of the Class of 2016 will receive their high school diploma during Commencement Exercises tonight at 8 p.m. in the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center Arena. Sulphur Springs High School Class of 2016 will find graduation ceremonies in the Regional Civic Center Arena thanks to the National Weather Service forecast of rain for Friday according to a release from the Office of High School Principal Derek Driver. The event will begin at 8 p.m. KSST will broadcast the graduation ceremonies and video for replay on Suddenlink Cable Channel 18.
Local Memorial Day Event Honored Those Who Gave All to Defend Freedoms
At the Hopkins County Veteran’s Memorial on Celebration Plaza Monday, Memorial Day activities honored the fallen who gave their lives in defense of the freedoms of the United States of America. If the weather cooperates, there should be Lady Cats playoff softball tonight. The Lady Cats are scheduled to face Mansfield Legacy at 7 p.m. this evening in Royse City.
