The group is collecting money and auction items for the upcoming annual FFA Stew and Auction and Scholarship Award. The event will be held on Saturday May 23 at the Saltillo Ag Shop. On Tuesday, May 19th, at 1:30 p.m., a meeting for the deaf and hard-of-hearing will be held at The ROC, 115 Putman Street, in Sulphur Springs. Teresa Dell, Deafness Resource Specialist for the area, will be on hand to meet to explain the services that are available for the deaf community. The program is a part of the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS). All deaf and hard-of-hearing members of the area are encouraged to attend.
