  Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs will be celebrating Hospital and Nurses Week throughout the week of May 8th. Festivities begin on Monday with a celebratory dinner and award time at Arturos, followed by a Scrub Fair, Associates Picnic, and a Cake Walk on Wednesday, then Nursing Trivia on Thursday!

Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab has come through a season of loss of valued long-term employees, due to critical illnesses. On April 28, families and co-workers of four late employees were honored with the planting of four trees in the Memory Garden. Physical Therapist Doug Teitjen was a ten year employee. Former Business Development Specialist Jan Hawkins had a tenure of more than 20 years. Barbara France had an 18-year history as Business Office Manager. On April 25th, 2017, the Wildcats baseball team honored five senior players during senior night celebrations. Kyle Dodd, Micheal Arnold, Mason Buck, Easton Silman, and Heston Golightly all played their final game for the Wildcats, as well as the last ever game in Eagle Stadium. The 13th annual Yantis Catfish Classic Tournament is planned for Saturday May 6 and Sunday May 7, 2017, headquartered on Lake Fork at the Minnow Bucket Marina on State Highway 154 at Yantis, Texas.  Tournament fishing will take place from 7 am until 3 pm both days with $25,000 plus in cash and prizes.
