Shannon Oaks will be hosting Under The Oaks, an all you can eat chili, stew, gumbo and dessert event. Adult tickets are $7, children under 10 are $4, and children under 10 with child care for the evening tickets are $10. The Country Store will open, food will begin to be served, along with a silent auction at 4:30. Live music will begin at 5, and a live auction will take place at 6:30. Quart sales will begin a 6:15 at $10 a quart.

A steady stream of people lined up for pancakes and thousands of dollars were donated at the Pancake Breakfast for the Steven Vickery family at Hopkins County Fire Station #20 Saturday morning. Vickery’s life ended Thursday, February 2, 2017 following a battle with heart disease.
