Below are a few of the upcoming activities students and parents will want to put on their calendars too. First Day of School New teachers will start reporting on Aug. 7, with all staff returning from Aug. 8-9 and Aug. 12-14 for development days. South Broadway Street was temporarily closed from Drexel Drive to McCann Street Tuesday. The block of South Broadway Street shut down Tuesday from Drexel Drive to McCann Street in the area of Sonic and Alliance Bank was once again open to traffic by about 5 p.m. Tuesday, according to Sulphur Springs Police Chief Jason Ricketson. “We hit the gas service while doing a small sewer project. End of summer reading 2019 The end of the 2019 summer reading program is near. We will have a costume contest during our last Story time Tuesday July 30 at 10:00am; kids should dress up as either a mermaid or a Pirate. Mandy Fiock Photography will be here for photos with Ariel for A $5 donation to Shining Star Productions. Photos will be held at 9:30- 10:00 am, (before story time) and again at 10:30- 11 am. Wednesday July 31th will be the LAST DAY to turn in reading logs.
