The Bright Star Garden Club raffled off a hand made Wooden Rocking Horse to raise money for a NEW Senior Citizens Center. Mickey Mills and Hillis Bass presented the $ 1,115.00 check to Karon Weatherman on Friday, June 16th.
ACTS OF LOVE Meeting (Adults Coming Together Serving)
Monday, June 5th the ACTS of Love had their regular monthly meeting. The Special Speakers were Stacey Wetzel and Shelley Steger with CIMA Hospice. Stacey and Shelley spoke about the Hospice Program and asked the Volunteer Group if any of them would like to be Volunteers with CIMA Hospice. The meeting was very informative. 12th Annual Clara Bridges Banquet Set For April 22nd
The 12th Annual Clara Bridges Banquet is set for April 22nd, 2017 at the ROC on 115 Putman St., in Sulphur Springs. Senior Citizens Center to Raffle Off Hand-Made Necklaces
The Senior Citizens Center is raffling off three hand-made necklaces on May 12th, 2017 at noon. The three necklaces were created and donated by Barbara Ann Boudreau to support the Building Fund for the new Senior Center. Several donations by multiple organizations have been made to the Building Fund over the last few months. Tickets can be purchased at the Senior Center for $1 each or 6 for $5.
Basics At Brunch at the Senior Citizens Center
On April 17th, 2017, the Sulphur Springs Senior Center is hosting “Basics At Brunch” at 10:30 AM with Ross & Shoalmire Law Attorneys. This quarter will cover how to make the most of your Medicare coverage and appeals. The event is entirely free and is sponsored by Carriage House Manor and At Home Health Care.

Sulphur Springs High School Class of 1950 Donates for NEW Senior Citizens Center
The Sulphur Springs High School Class of 1950 made a donation towards a NEW Senior Citizens Center. They made the donation in Memory of Juanita Wallace. Juanita was their classmate and a LONG time Volunteer at the Senior Citizens Center. The Class of 1950 Challenges EVERY Graduating Class to make a donation towards acquiring a New Senior Citizens Center.
