Some more minor damage has been done to several walls in the Veterans’ Memorial on Celebration Plaza in Sulphur Springs. The damage was discovered and was reported to the police department by a city official on Thursday just before 1 p.m. Several stones had letters and scratches lightly etched on them. Update On Wastewater Treatment Plant

Sulphur Springs City Manager Marc Maxwell gave the City Council an update Tuesday night on the city’s stressed Wastewater Treatment Plant. He said a new filter was helping and added the plant was within allowable limits for total suspended solids last month. Maxwell said the plant was out of compliance for ammonia.
