Gaping Pot Hole To Receive Attention Soon

For the past two weeks a gaping hole on Kyle Street at Gilmer Street has created congested traffic at the location. City Manager Marc Maxwell has given the owner of a car wash, recently built at that location, until Thursday to either pay for a larger water meter or accept the one that is currently in place. That will be the next pothole to be repaired, according to Maxwell. Maxwell says the city will give property owners some time, but the needs of the general public must also be met. He calls that balance the challenge of city government.
