Lights Of Life Campaign Funds New Hospital Equipment

Money raised during the 2013-2014 Lights of Life and Gala campaign to benefit Hopkins County Memorial Hospital has already purchased equipment that is being put to use. Funds purchased a bone density machine, ICU beds and a UV room disinfection unit. The money was raised with Mary Bonham, her daughter Rhonda Adair and granddaughter Kristin Potts as co-chairs. As of Tuesday morning, Cooper Lake’s level was marginally better than it was at this time last year by two feet. Still the city is in great shape for water. Tennis Complex on Schedule

Consultant Don Roundtree gave the Sulphur Springs School Board a construction update and timeline on the High School Tennis Complex Monday night. Dirt work is expected to be finished in two to two and a half weeks. Concrete is scheduled to be poured for the building on August 1. The building should arrive on August 7. Roundtree said something vertical should be seen by mid-August. Completion date is projected as December 12.
