SS Public Library Beautified by Bright Star Gardeners
Bright Star Garden Club members recently gave a “beauty lift” to the appearance of the Sulphur Springs Public Library. Club members and volunteers added shrubs, annual blooming plants and landscape rock to seven beds along the walkways leading to the front entrance. There are 300 members in the Sulphur Springs High School FFA Chapter. Three chapter members along with Ag Instructor J.T. Luper advertised their annual fundraiser event on the Good Morning Show with Enola Gay. The students discussed their projects, college choices and career goals. Sulphur Bluff Golf Team places at Regionals, sends Brown to State
The Sulphur Bluff Bears Varsity Golf Team competed in a Regional Golf Meet in Stephenville on April 11 and 12. The team placed 5th. Kaleb Brown placed third as an individual. Brown will advance to the State Golf Meet to be held April 27-29. Bears coach is Dustin Carr. Kerry Garmon Scholarship Foundation Banquet
There was a full house at Saltillo ISD for the fifth annual Scholarship Banquet and Auction held in the Kerry W. Garmon Memorial Gymnasium on April 9, 2016. High school students assisted faculty members from set up and decorating the gym to bringing items to the auction block during the event.
