Highway 19N Coalition will have its first meeting June 19, 2018 at the North Hopkins School Cafeteria. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. According to organizers, they are seeking to unite the community to bring a safer road for the daily travel of residents in northern Hopkins County. Woman Arrested for Taking Illegal Narcotics into County Jail
July 1, 2018 – Jennifer Ann Seely, 47, of Sulphur Springs, was observed on camera bringing items into the Hopkins County Jail that contained illegal narcotics. An investigation at her residence on Pampa Street resulted in locating methamphetamine in her bedroom. Crum Remains in Jail Following Bond Reduction
Aaron Tyler Crum, 26, remains in Hopkins County Jail Thursday afternoon even though his bond for a Felony 1 Murder charge was reduced Wednesday from $1-million to $225,000. Crum is accused in the shooting death of Joshua Paul Cowling. The bond reduction followed an evidence hearing in Eighth Judicial District Court, according to Crum’s attorney Martin Braddy.
