Lady Cats Coach Javier Aguayo said it was a very frustrating first half for the Lady Cats. He said they kept losing the ball over and over and gave up a goal within the last 10 minutes of the first half. He said the Lady Cats had some chances to score but could not convert.

Coach Aguayo said his halftime talk to the team was to put the first half behind them and to focus on playing the way they know how to play. He said during the second half, the Lady Cats were able to break down the Lady Tigers pressing game and got things going in their favor.

He added the Lady Cats controlled the game a bit more in the second half and were able to score two goals. Freshman Rebekah Stanley scored the unassisted tying goal. Haley Robinson put the Lady cats ahead with a goal assisted by Stanley.

The Lady Cats wrap up the first half of district play Tuesday night at Gerald Prim Stadium against Royse City.
