4 Jailed In Hopkins County Feb. 6 On Warrants

At least four people were booked into Hopkins County jail on warrants Thursday, according to arrest and jail reports.

Hopkins County Sheriff’s Deputy Elijah Fite traveled Thursday to Bradshaw state jail unit, where he took Olegario Cantu Arizmendez into custody at 9:20 a.m. Feb. 6.

The 50-year-old Sulphur Springs man was transported to Hopkins County jail, where he was held on two bench warrants for possession of 4 grams or more but less than 200 grams of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance charges and a warrant for not taking care of a delivery of possession of drug paraphernalia charge, according to arrest and jail reports.

Deputy Fite also transported Jason Scott Flowers, 39, from Choice Moore Unit in Bonham to Hopkins County jail, according to arrest reports.

Flowers was booked on a bench warrant for a manufacture or delivery of 1 gram or more but less than 4 grams of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance charge, according to arrest reports.


Ronald Edwin Otto

Ronald Edwin Otto, 61, turned himself in at 9:58 p.m. Feb. 6 at the sheriff’s office on a warrant, according to arrest reports.

He was escorted into the jail by Deputy Lance Burdick, and booked for violation of probation, which he was on for possession of less than 1 gram of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance charge, according to arrest and jail reports.


Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 59-year-old Como woman on an Ocean Springs, Mississippi police warrant for exploitation of a vulnerable adult.

Deputies were alerted the wanted woman could possibly located at a residence. While attempting to serve the warrant Feb. 6, the woman allegedly ran into the bathroom at the residence and swallowed multiple pills, deputies alleged in arrest reports.

The woman was reportedly transported to the emergency room at a local hospital. After being medically cleared, she was arrested on the warrant and taken to jail, according to arrest reports. She remained in custody on the charge Friday morning, according to jail reports.
