Wednesday, Jan. 1

  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 2225 in Quitman at 12:03 a.m. regarding a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
  • At 1:32 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Elmwood Lane in Hawkins regarding a stolen car. Deputies and Holly Lake Security were able to determine the location of the involved vehicle and clear the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 2225 in Quitman, at approximately 4:19 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Private Road 8563, at approximately 7:41 a.m., regarding a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
  • At approximately 8:59 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 1799, south of the bridge.
  • At approximately 9:07 a.m., cows were reported out on Private Road 6325 in Mineola.
  • At approximately 9:22 a.m., cows were again reported out on CR 1799, south of the bridge. The property owner stated that he will get his fence repaired.
  • Cows were reported out on FM 69, north of FM 515 at approximately 9:42 a.m.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Highway 154W in Quitman, at approximately 9:53 a.m., in reference to a criminal mischief. The reporting party stated that someone had left a truck on his property, stuck in the mud. It was so deep in the mud that his water lines were damaged. The complainant requested that the responsible party be issued a criminal trespass warning and also wished to pursue charges for the damage done. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • At approximately 10:26 a.m., deputies observed two vehicles driving recklessly on Highway 37, just south of FM 2088. Deputies were able to pull over both vehicles and both subjects were placed under arrest for reckless driving: Tammie Applegate, 51, of Mineola and Eric Patrick, 53, of Mineola.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2205 in Mineola, at approximately 10:55 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
  • Deputies were dispatched to E. Quitman in Alba, at approximately 1:16 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties and cleared the incident.
  • Cows were reported out on Main St. in Yantis at approximately 3:33 p.m.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 in Hawkins, at approximately 3:45 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was ok.
  • Cows were reported out on FM 515 at County Road 1386 at approximately 5:04 p.m.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of the road on County Road 4420, at approximately 6:10 p.m. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious person walking in the roadway on Highway 154 at CR 2225, at approximately 6:34 p.m. Deputies located the individual, who was not in the roadway, and cleared the incident.
  • At approximately 8:08 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Highway 80 in Mineola regarding a noise complaint. Deputies located the individuals shooting fireworks who, after being contacted, left the location.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious person call on Highway 154, 1-2 miles north of Quitman, at approximately 9:09 p.m. Deputies located the individual and cleared the incident.
  • At approximately 10:16 p.m., deputies were dispatched to County Road 2840 in Hawkins in reference to a suspicious person. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • Deputies were dispatched to the Quitman Emergency Room, at approximately 10:26 p.m., in reference to a dog bite. The injured party got in the middle between his 2 family dogs fighting and was bitten on the wrist. He was advised to quarantine both dogs for 10 days. The deputy was provided with vaccination records for both dogs and will follow up in ten days.
  • Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 154, at approximately 10:41 p.m. Robert Kinsey, 39, of Quitman was arrested for Driving While License Invalid.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle at a vacant building near A.J.’s Fish House at approximately 10:52 p.m. Deputies located the individual, who was parked at an abandoned building to use the phone, and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2330 in Mineola, at approximately 11:47 p.m., in reference to a report of someone in a field shooting guns. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Thursday, Jan. 2

  • Cows were reported out on County Road 4778 at approximately 1:28 a.m.
  • Cows were reported out on Highway 37/FM 14 at approximately 7:28 a.m.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Meadow View Path in Hawkins, at approximately 8:55 a.m., regarding a dispute. Deputies spoke with the parties involved and cleared the incident.
  • At 9:16 a.m., horses were reported out on County Road 1960 in Yantis.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 4495 in Winnsboro, at approximately 10:13 a.m., in reference to an inquest. A female, 68, was found deceased in her residence.
  • At 11:34 a.m., donkeys were reported out on County Road 3875.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Highway 80 East, at approximately 1:31 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • Deputies were dispatched to North Greenville in Mineola, at approximately 1:44 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with the parties involved and cleared the incident due to it being a civil matter.
  • At approximately 2:13 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance on Private Road 7966 in Winnsboro. Deputies spoke with all parties and cleared the incident.
  • At 2:35 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 69N in Yantis.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2117, at approximately 4:18 p.m., in reference to a theft. The reporting party stated that actors, or actors unknown, had taken funds out of her bank account. The case was forwarded to investigators.
  • At 5:34 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 49.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 852 in Winnsboro, at approximately 7:25 p.m., regarding a suspicious vehicle driving in a pasture. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • Deputies conducted a traffic stop on County Road 1912 in Yantis. Charles Elliott, Jr., 39, of Alba was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
  • At 11:28 p.m., deputies met with a party in the WCSO lobby regarding a child custody matter which was deemed to be civil in nature.

Friday, Jan. 3

  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to County Road 2110, at approximately 12:06 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3400 in Hawkins, at approximately 1:18 a.m., on an assault. David Winbery, 58, of West Tawakoni, was arrested for assault.
  • At approximately 1:19 a.m., deputies were dispatched to County Road 1961 in Yantis in reference to a sexual assault. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • At 8:39 a.m., cows were reported out on Highway 49, east of 14.
  • At 9:30 a.m., cows were reported out on 2659/1795.
  • Deputies spoke by phone to a caller, at approximately 10:32 a.m., regarding a theft. He reported that individuals renting a residence from him on County Road 2849 in Hawkins had taken some of the appliances when they vacated the home. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to the WCSO lobby, at approximately 11:09 a.m., in reference to an assault. The assault happened on FM 17 in Alba a few days earlier and the party does wish to pursue charges. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • At 11:42 a.m., cows were reported out on County Road 1799.
  • Deputies spoke by phone to a caller, at approximately 11:52 a.m., in reference to a theft that occurred on Private Road 6394 in Alba. The caller stated that she believes that someone took mail containing personal information from her mailbox.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to County Road 2167 at approximately 12:07 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 4592 in Winnsboro, at approximately 12:27 p.m., in reference to a suspicious vehicle. The caller reported an unknown vehicle parked in his driveway and was concerned that someone might be in his house. Deputies searched the house and no one was located, but it appeared that someone had been in the house while the owner was away. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • At approximately 3:51 p.m., cows were reported out on Highway 49, just east of 14.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2150, at approximately 4:06 p.m., in reference to an animal complaint. The party thought that a dog had been hit and injured by a car, but deputies determined that the dog was okay.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 4660 in Winnsboro, at approximately 4:08 p.m., in reference to a terroristic threat. The reported party stated that they were receiving threatening texts from another party and wanted it documented.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1885 in Yantis, at approximately 5:05 p.m., in reference to a terroristic threat. Two drivers were involved in a verbal altercation following a traffic incident. The parties were separated and the incident was cleared.
  • At 5:06 p.m., cows were reported out on 779/37.
  • At 5:18 p.m., cows were reported out on County Road 1810 in Yantis.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1570 in Alba, at approximately 5:33 p.m., regarding a dispute. Deputies spoke with the involved parties and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1522 in Alba, at approximately 5:48 p.m., in reference to a fire. Upon arrival, the single family residence and the surrounding foliage was fully engulfed in flames. No one was injured. All information has been forwarded to the Fire Marshall.
  • At 6:54 p.m., cows were reported out on 2774/1804.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 4450 in Winnsboro, at approximately 7:21 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the residence and it was secure.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Private Road 6232 in Mineola, at approximately 8:30 p.m., regarding a dispute. Deputies met with both parties who were both given a family violence packet to complete. This case remains active.
  • At approximately 9:16 p.m., cows were reported out at 312/2088.
  • At approximately 10:57 p.m., cows were reported out on Highway 11.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 2225 in Quitman, at approximately 10:58 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Justin Pearce, 37, of Grand Saline, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Saturday, Jan. 4

  • At 12:18 a.m., horses were reported out on 69/17.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2559 in Mineola, at approximately 8:45 a.m., in reference to a theft. The reporting party stated that actors, or actors unknown, had stolen 2 game cameras off of his property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 779 in Golden, at approximately 10:52 a.m., in reference to a criminal mischief. The reporting party stated that he owns a rental property that received property damage following a party held by his tenant. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • At 12:44 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 17..
  • Deputies were dispatched to Bent Horseshoe Lane in Holly Lake Ranch, at approximately 1:05 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was ok.
  • At 1:38 p.m., cows were reported out on 37/14.
  • At 1:46 p.m., cows were reported out on County Road 1613.
  • Deputies received a call at approximately 1:57 p.m. regarding a terroristic threat. The party stated that she has a protective order in place against her ex-husband. She received a call from his mother who warned that her son had threatened to kill the reporting party and then kill himself. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • At 2:28 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 49.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 4988 in Quitman, at approximately 2:34 p.m., in reference to an animal complaint. The reporting party stated that a neighbor’s dog has been getting onto his property and harassing his livestock. The neighbors have been notified to keep their dog on their own property or they will receive a citation for any further instances.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1885 in Yantis, at approximately 3:30 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. The deputies located the individual and he was transported to the hospital.
  • At 3:44 p.m., cows were reported out on 37/4198.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 in Mineola, at approximately 4:21 p.m., in reference to a theft. The reporting party stated that a trailer, 12 feet long, had been stolen from his pasture. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to 515, 5 miles west of Winnsboro, at approximately 6:36 p.m., in reference to a suspicious vehicle blocking the road. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2175, at approximately 8:29 p.m., in reference to kids riding up and down the road on 4 wheelers. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the 4 wheelers.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 2966 in Yantis, at approximately 9:59 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies talked with all parties and cleared the incident.

Sunday, Jan. 5

  • Deputies were dispatched to Scenic Loop, at approximately 7:55 a.m., in reference to an alarm. This was determined to be a false alarm.
  • At approximately 11:11 a.m., deputies were dispatched to County Road 4116 in Quitman in reference to a burglary of a habitation. The reporting party stated that he arrived home to find his home in disarray with some items damaged and some items missing. This case will be forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to 154, near the old Gateway Motel, at approximately 11:13 a.m., in reference to a suspicious person. Deputies located the individual and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1676, at approximately 11:41 a.m., in reference to illegal burning. Deputies determined that no illegal materials were being burned and cleared the incident.
  • At 1:15 p.m., cows were reported out on N. FM 2869 in Winnsboro.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 4360, at approximately 2:14 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. The reporting party stated that she noticed blood on the ground at a house that was for sale. Deputies followed the blood spatter and it appeared that an animal had been shot and then run off.
  • Deputies were dispatched to the emergency room at UT Health Care in Quitman, at approximately 5:11 p.m., in reference to a dog bite. An 8 year old female had been bitten on the ear by a dog at a home on County Road 2310 in Mineola. The owner had the dog euthanized and tested for rabies which came back negative.
  • At 5:45 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Highway 69, north of Mineola regarding a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Loop 564E, at approximately 8:29 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1895 in Yantis, at approximately 8:52 p.m., regarding an animal complaint. The reporting party was concerned that 2 dogs were not receiving proper care. Deputies checked on the dogs, noted that they had ample food and water, and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2482 in Mineola, at approximately 9:39 p.m., regarding a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties and cleared the incident.
  • At 9:45 p.m., cows were reported out on N. FM 312.

Monday, Jan. 6

  • At 1:25 a.m., deputies assisted a stranded motorist on 37/2430.
  • At 7:24 a.m., cows were reported out on 37 N near County Road 4895.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3490 in Hawkins, at approximately 7:44 a.m., in reference to an injured deer. Deputies were unable to locate the deer and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies received a call from an individual located in Pennsylvania at approximately 7:55 a.m. regarding a theft. The reporting party had purchased livestock from someone stating that the livestock was located on County Road 4778 in Winnsboro and would be transported to him in Pennsylvania. The seller then requested additional funds which the buyer refused to pay. Deputies went to the address in Winnsboro, but the homeowner had no knowledge of the livestock or of the sale. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies received a call from an individual at approximately 9:03 a.m. in reference to criminal mischief. The caller stated that someone had damaged the roof of her patio, possibly by climbing on it. Deputies went to the location on County Road 3120 in Quitman and documented the damage. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 W, at approximately 11:16 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver who hit a sign and tore off the side mirror of the vehicle. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Highway 154 W in Yantis, at approximately 12:00 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Sherry Smith, 43, of Dallas, was arrested for disorderly conduct.
  • At 1:46 p.m., deputies were dispatched to FM 778 in Hawkins in reference to a disturbance. Walter Dixon, 60, of Hawkins, was arrested for Assault Against Elderly or Disabled.
  • At 2:13 p.m., cows were reported out on Highway 37/CR 4919.
  • At 4:04 p.m., cows were reported out on County Road 1810 in Yantis.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to County Road 2167 at approximately 10:52 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were not able to locate the individual.

Tuesday, Jan. 7

  • Deputies were dispatched to N. FM 37 in Quitman, at approximately 12:03 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies found the building secure.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 17 in Alba, at approximately 2:41 a.m., in reference to a suspicious person. The reporting party heard voices outside of the home, but deputies were unable to locate any activity.
  • At 3:05 a.m., deputies were dispatched to 779/2370 in reference to a suspicious person. Deputies located the individual who advised he was walking to Galveston and gave him a courtesy ride to Highway 69/FM 779.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Private Road 6397, at approximately 3:27 a.m., in reference to a traffic hazard. Deputies located a dead coyote, moved it off the road and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2668 in Mineola, at approximately 11:20 a.m., in reference to an animal complaint. The reporting party was missing her dog and had reason to believe that she knew who had taken it. Deputies spoke to the other party, compared the dogs, determined that it was not the missing dog and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 in Hawkins, at approximately 11:34 a.m., in reference to a burglary of a habitation. The reporting party discovered multiple items missing and the home showed signs of forced entry. This case will be forwarded to investigators.
  • At approximately 2:09 p.m., deputies were dispatched to County Road 2906 in Alba regarding a criminal trespass. The reporting party indicated that actors, or actors unknown, had been digging up the water line in the yard of her rental house. She requested extra patrol in the area.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Private Road 7533 in Hawkins at approximately 3:14 p.m. Stephanie Hays, 48, of Hawkins, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2436 in Mineola, at approximately 4:09 p.m., in reference to a suspicious persons looking over fences into back yards. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individuals.
  • At approximately 6:42 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Highway 37 in Quitman in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with the involved parties and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of South FM 2869 and County Road 3849 at approximately 7:58 p.m. Veronica Hullett, 46, of Mineola, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Jay Washburn, 49, of Tyler, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
  • At 9:36 p.m., cows were reported out on 2088.
