Election Workers Needed For Party Primary, General Election

Deadline To Register To Vote Nearing

Republican and Democratic Election Judges and workers are needed for the March 3 Primary Election and the General Election on Nov. 3, according to the clerk’s office.

In order to be a judge or worker the individual must be a registered voter. They will be working Election Day only from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Training is mandatory for the Primary Election, however. Classes are free and open to the public

Five different election worker training sessions are scheduled later this month at Hopkins County Civic Center.

There’s no need to call or email election officials to sign up. Those interested just need to show up at the Civic Center for training on either Monday or Tuesday, Jan. 27 or 28, any one of the available times, according to the county clerk’s office.

Also, those planning to vote in the March 3 Primary Election who are not registered will need to do so soon. The deadline to register to vote is Monday, Feb. 3.

Additional election information may be found on the county website.
