June 5th

  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to County Road 2298 at approximately 12:45 a.m.
  • Deputies searched the area, but were not able to locate the individual.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Highway 154 at approximately 2:04 a.m.
  • Deputies searched the area, but were not able to make contact with the individual.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to County Road 4918 at approximately 2:28 a.m.
  • Deputies searched the area, but were not able to locate the individual.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Highway 11 at approximately 3:04 a.m.
  • Brangie Barton, 40, of Winnsboro, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 4985 off of FM 1643 in Winnsboro, at approximately 7:20 a.m. in reference to an abandoned vehicle.
  • Deputies located a burned and abandoned vehicle which was stolen out of Hopkins County. The appropriate parties were notified.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to W. Bermuda in Quitman at approximately 8:09 a.m.
  • Steven Lumpkin, 48, of Pittsburg, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
  • At 10:16 a.m., cows were reported out on County Road 4365.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Private Road 6882 in Mineola, at approximately 10:17 a.m., in reference to a complaint of a loose dog. Deputies located the owner who secured the dog.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1515, at approximately 10:43 a.m., in reference to a suspicious person. Deputies located the individual and issued a criminal trespass warning.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Lake Hawkins, at approximately 10:56 a.m., in reference to a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was parked, locked and off of the roadway. Deputies cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3847 in Hawkins, at approximately 12:23 p.m., in reference to an assault. Due to the fact that this assault had occurred a few days prior and was reported late, this case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Highway 80 in Mineola, at approximately 4:17 p.m., in reference to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Deputies concluded that this issue was a civil matter. During the investigation, additional theft charges were alleged. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • At 4:23 p.m., horses were reported out at Highways 14 and 37.
  • Deputies were contacted by phone, at approximately 4:57 p.m., in reference to a theft that had occurred on Private Road 5553 in Alba. The reporting party wished to add an additional missing item to his previous report.
  • At 5:11 p.m., a caller advised of a cat in a tree on Waterfront in Quitman.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1912 in Yantis, at approximately 6:41 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. After talking to each of the parties, the deputies determined that the alleged assault had actually occurred 2 weeks prior. A family violence packet was provided to the reporting party. In the course of the call, deputies discovered 3 marijuana plants growing in planters on the front porch. Both parties denied ownership so, since they both resided at the home, Christopher Glenn King, 43, of Yantis, and April Dawn Robinson, 42, of Yantis, were arrested for possession of marijuana, 2 ounces or less.
  • A caller advised of a reckless driver on Highway 154 heading east from 515, at approximately 6:59 p.m. Deputies proceeded to the location, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3802 in Hawkins, at approximately 7:29 p.m., in reference to a damaged mail box. The reporting party had located his mail box down the road. Deputies advised him to contact the postal service and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1513 in Alba, at approximately 8:00 p.m., to an individual wishing to speak to an officer about a criminal trespass issue. Deputies located the individual in question and issued a criminal trespass warning.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1515 in Alba, at approximately 8:00 p.m., to an individual wishing to speak to an officer about a criminal trespass issue. Deputies located the individual in question and issued a criminal trespass warning.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Highway 515 near A.J’s Fish House, at approximately 8:50 p.m., in reference to a criminal trespassing issue. Deputies located the subject and issued a criminal trespass warning.
  • At 8:53 p.m., cows were reported out at County Road 1610 and County Road 1600.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2660 in Mineola, at approximately 11:03 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

June 6th

  • At 1:43 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 515.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 4294 in Winnsboro, at approximately 8:56 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to the Lake Fork Cabins at approximately 9:57 a.m. in reference to actors, or actors unknown reserved a room, over the phone, with a false credit card number. Subject never showed up for reservation.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2268 in Mineola, at approximately 12:00 p.m., in reference to a matter involving child custody. Deputies determined this to be a civil matter.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Private Road 6232 in Mineola, at approximately 2:42 p.m., in reference to an assault. The reporting party reported an assault by a person known to him, but did not wish to pursue any charges.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1340/FM 2966, at approximately 3:14 p.m., in reference to dead cows. Deputies discovered the carcasses of 3 decomposed cows which appeared to have been dead for several weeks. The deputies checked the condition of other cows on the property and determined them to be in good condition.
  • At approximately 3:17 p.m., cows were reported at on Hicks Street in Alba.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2140 in Quitman, at approximately 3:18 p.m., in reference to a suspicious person. The caller reported a car parked near the dam and a person sitting on the road.
  • Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the subject.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2210 in Mineola, at approximately 4:23 p.m., in reference to indecency with a child. Deputies spoke with the reporting party regarding the situation and the case will be forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Highway 37 South, north of 2330, at approximately 5:55 p.m., in reference to a person driving a riding lawnmower on the shoulder of the road. Deputies advised the subject that he was not allowed to ride his lawnmower on the roadway.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 4870, at approximately 6:35 p.m., in reference to actors or actors unknown attempting to steal reporting party’s dog. These incidents had been happening over the last several days and the deputies advised they would give extra patrol in the area.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3802 in Hawkins, at approximately 6:46 p.m., in reference to the possible fraudulent use of a credit card. Reporting party advised that his credit card company had notified him that actors or actors unknown were trying to use his information to open a new credit card account. Deputies advised him to also notify his bank.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1515 in Alba, at approximately 7:11 p.m., in reference to hearing someone inside of a vacant house. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate anyone inside or outside of the house.
  • Deputies responded to a call at the Winnsboro hospital, at approximately 9:05 p.m., in reference to a dog bite. Deputies determined that the victim had been bitten in Hopkins County and was referred to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2332 in Mineola, at approximately 9:30 p.m., in reference to an assault. Zachary Ramirez, 29, of Mineola was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury of Family House Member and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 4136, at approximately 9:35 p.m., in reference to actor, or actors unknown attempting to break into a vehicle. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 2088 in Winnsboro, at approximately 9:55 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2169 in Quitman, at approximately 10:13 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Brandon Lee Keen, 33, of Quitman was arrested for Evading Arrest Detention and Escape from Custody and transported to the Wood County Jail.
  • At 11:02 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 1643 south of County Road 4878.

June 7th

  • At 1:08 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 514 near County Road 1900.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2869/County Road 3469, at approximately 1:12 a.m., regarding a building with the front door standing open with no cars in the parking lot. Deputies determined that the building was empty and there were no signs of forced entry, but without hinges or deadbolts on the door, there was no way to secure the building.
  • At 7:10 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 154 at FM 17.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Private Road 5293 in Yantis, at approximately 9:19 a.m., in reference to a dispute. The reporting party requested a criminal trespass warning be issued to the other subject who was not located at that time.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 4480 in Winnsboro, at approximately 9:35 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies spoke with the homeowner who advised that everything was ok.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 69 and County Road 4940 in Winnsboro, at approximately 11:04 a.m. in reference to a criminal trespass warning. Deputies issued criminal trespass warnings against 2 individuals.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1479 in Como, at approximately 11:30 a.m., in reference to a burglary of a habitation. Reporting party advised that his rifle was missing from his home. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3689 in Hawkins, at approximately 11:31 a.m., in reference to a theft. Reporting party advised that a few items were missing from her yard. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 4560 in Winnsboro, at approximately 12:19 p.m., in reference to a missing person. Deputies determined that the person was missing from Greenville so the reporting party was referred to the Greenville Police Department or Hunt County Sheriff’s Department.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1912 in Yantis, at approximately 1:58 p.m., on a welfare check. The subject was located and transported to the hospital.
  • Deputies received a call from an individual, at approximately 2:49 p.m., who wanted to know if she could leave her animals in a running car while she shopped. She was advised that this is against the law.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 4294 in Como, at approximately 3:03 p.m., regarding a theft.
  • Deputies determined this to be a civil issue and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to W. Highway 80 in Mineola, at approximately 3:58 p.m., on a theft case.
  • Deputies spoke to the reporting party and will forward this case to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to the Lake Holbrook area, at approximately 4:13 p.m., regarding people drinking and smoking marijuana. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the subjects.
  • Deputies met with a citizen in the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 4:35 p.m., in reference to a sexual assault of a child that occurred in the past. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3689 in Hawkins, at approximately 8:11 p.m., regarding a theft of property. Deputies met with the parties and issued a criminal trespass warning to one of the individuals.
  • Deputies made a traffic stop on Cheyenne in Holiday Villages at approximately 8:22 p.m. Jimmy Joe Heiman, 63, of Quitman was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance under Penalty Group 1, less than 1 gram; Tampering with Physical Evidence; and Fleeing/Attempting to Elude Police.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3250 in Quitman, at approximately 9:07 p.m., regarding criminal mischief. Deputies observed damage to their flat screen TV, Xbox, window blinds and linoleum flooring. This case will be forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3455 in Hawkins, at approximately 10:30 p.m., regarding a dispute. Deputies met with both parties and cleared the incident.

June 8th

  • Deputies were dispatched to the Lake Fork Creek Bridge, at approximately 2:23 a.m., regarding a suspicious person. Deputies located a man sitting on the guard rail and gave him a courtesy ride to Mineola.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3400 in Hawkins, at approximately 7:25 a.m., regarding a burglary of a building. Deputies met with the reporting party who stated that multiple items had been stolen from his shop located behind his residence. This case will be forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Private Road 7912 in Hawkins, at approximately 8:16 a.m., regarding a criminal mischief. Actor, or actors unknown, had broken 2 windows and kicked in the back door to his unfinished cabin.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1260 in Quitman, at approximately 9:57 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies spoke with the homeowner and everything was ok.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Highway 154, at approximately 10:56 a.m. James Long, 54, of Quitman was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Private Road 6673 in Mineola, at approximately 11:24 a.m., regarding gun shots. Deputies met with the reporting party who wanted to confirm that the shooter was aiming in a safe direction, away from her residence. Deputies met with the subject and confirmed that he was shooting safely.
  • Deputies were dispatched to S. FM 14 in Hawkins, at approximately 12:28 p.m., regarding shots being fired. The deputies arrived on scene to find a female shot in the neck being attended by EMS. While deputies were interviewing witnesses, the shooter came back to the scene and stated the shooting had been accidental. He was transported to the Sheriff’s Office to be further interviewed. This is an active case.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1425 in Quitman, at approximately 3:03 p.m., regarding reckless drivers on 4 wheelers. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the subjects.
  • Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Patten in Quitman, at approximately 4:00 p.m. The passenger, Adrianne Nicholle Loyd, 26, of Hawkins was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, PG 1 under 1 gram. She also made a report of an assault that had occurred previously at a location in Mineola.
  • At 4:43 p.m., goats were reported out on County Road 3120 in Quitman.
  • Deputies were dispatched to the Lake Hawkins area, at approximately 4:47 p.m., regarding a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Pleasure Point Lake in Winnsboro, at approximately 6:27 p.m., regarding a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 69 in Quitman, at approximately 7:03 p.m., regarding a welfare check.
  • Deputies located the individual and everything was ok.
  • At 8:22 p.m., cows were reported out at FM 515 and FM 69.
  • Deputies were dispatched to N. 69 in Alba, at approximately 8:31 p.m., regarding a reckless driver.
  • Deputies located the vehicle and observed minor swerving. The vehicle was pulled over and the deputies determined that the driver was not intoxicated, only tired from driving a long distance.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Wigley in Mineola, at approximately 8:50 p.m., to assist Mineola P.D. on an assault in progress.

June 9th

  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 2966 in Quitman, at approximately 8:53 a.m., in reference to an alarm.
  • Deputies spoke with the homeowner who advised everything was ok.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2121 in Quitman, at approximately 9:33 a.m., in reference to the window of his car being broken by actor, or actors unknown. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • At 10:06 a.m., cows were reported out on County Road 4441 and FM 852.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Brown Bow in Quitman, at approximately 11:53 a.m., in reference to a theft. The reporting party stated that his boat was missing and was last seen in March of 2019.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Peaceful Woods in Holly Lake Ranch, at approximately 12:32 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies secured the building.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1452 in Quitman, at approximately 2:33 p.m., in reference to a structure fire. Deputies arrived and determined it to be a brush fire only.
  • Deputies were dispatched to U.T. Quitman Hospital, at approximately 2:59 p.m., in reference to a dog bite. The victim stated that the bite had occurred at Little River Bend in Quitman while trying to put his friend’s dog on a chain in the yard. The dog will be quarantined for 10 days for observation.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1730 in Yantis, at approximately 3:57 p.m., in reference to a verbal dispute. Both parties had left prior to the deputies’ arrival so the incident was cleared.
  • Deputies were dispatched to E. Highway 80 in Mineola, at approximately 6:35 p.m., in reference to a terroristic threat. Reporting party stated that he had been in a fight with the subject who then began making threats against the reporting party and his family. This case remains active.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2377 in Alba, at approximately 6:46 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies met with the Alba –Golden Superintendent at the location and, while checking the school, discovered that one of the vending machines had been opened and vandalized. This case will be forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Winnsboro Street, at approximately 7:07 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • At 7:27 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2088, 2 miles east of Quitman.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to County Road 1360, at approximately 7:29 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • Deputies were dispatched to a major accident on FM 2869 in Winnsboro, at approximately 8:17 p.m. Deputies stayed with the driver and passenger until transported to the hospital.
  • Deputies were dispatched to a roadside park in Mineola, at approximately 11:07 p.m., in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Deputies located the car to found the subjects sleeping in the car.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 in Hawkins, at approximately 11:48 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies found no damage to the building or the ATM.

June 10th

  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2142 in Quitman, at approximately 12:31 a.m., in reference to reporting party hearing suspicious noises. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate anything suspicious or anything missing from the location.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 in Hawkins, at approximately 1:55 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies arrived to find no forced entry and the building secure.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 4200, at approximately 8:33 a.m., in reference to actor, or actors unknown driving a 4 wheeler recklessly several times a day. Deputies will request extra patrol in the area.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Private Road 5551 in Alba, at approximately 8:51 a.m., in reference to terroristic threats. The victim reported that individuals known to them are sending e-mails and voice mail messages with threats and wanted a report made to document.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 288, at approximately 9:33 a.m., in reference to aggressive dogs. Deputies contacted the owner and found the dogs to be penned up and secured.
  • At 10:42 a.m., cows were reported out on 154 and County Road 3990.
  • Deputies were contacted by phone at approximately 11:02 a.m., in reference to a dog bite that had occurred on County road 1416 in Quitman. The caller described the dog, but the deputies were unable to contact the owner at that time. The deputies will continue to attempt contact to obtain proof of rabies vaccination.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Highway 80E in Mineola, at approximately 11:59 a.m., in reference to an assault. The reporting came home to find a person known to him inside his home without permission. The subject then assaulted the homeowner and left the residence. This case has been forwarded to investigations.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 778 in Hawkins, at approximately 5:15 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. A juvenile was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2610 in Mineola, at approximately 6:18 p.m., in reference to a theft of a firearm. The reporting party stated that he had left his gun on his back porch for approximately 30 minutes and, when he returned, it was missing. He called back 2 days later to advise that he had located the gun.
  • Deputies were contacted by a party at approximately 6:19 p.m. in reference to phone harassment. After talking to the victim, the deputies determined that this was a civil matter and was advised to contact his legal representative.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Loop 564 in Mineola, at approximately 6:50 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies spoke with the homeowner and everything was secure.
  • At 7:26 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2966, north of County Road 1326.
  • Deputies were dispatched to E. Highway 80 in Mineola, at approximately 9:25 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Deputies observed that actor, or actors unknown, had forced entry into the home and stolen a large amount of items, along with a trailer. This case remains active.
  • Deputies initiated a traffic stop on County Road 1912 in Yantis, at approximately 11:25 p.m. Christopher Glenn King, 43, of Yantis was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with Previous conviction/Without Financial Responsibility and Possess of Drug Paraphernalia.

June 11th

  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3340 in Hawkins, at approximately 8:09 a.m., in reference to identity theft. The reporting party advised that he was contacted by a bank regarding a new bank account that had been opened in his name without his knowledge. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • At 8:51 a.m., cows were reported out on 2966 at 1483.
  • At 9:36 a.m., cows were reported out at FM 515 at FM 69.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1452 in Quitman, at approximately 10:57 a.m., in reference to a theft. Deputies met with the parties who advised that they had paid a contractor to purchase supplies to build a house and shop, but these supplies were never brought to the location and the work never performed. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 in Hawkins, at approximately 6:01 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the location and the building was secured.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2660 in Mineola, at approximately 6:49 p.m., in reference to a missing person. The reporting party advised that her husband had not returned from his daily walk and had been missing for approximately 3 hours. Additional deputies were dispatched to search for the subject, including Sheriff Castloo. The subject was located by the sheriff and transported back to his residence.
  • At 7:44 p.m., goats were reported in a neighbor’s yard on County Road 3120 in Quitman. Deputies spoke with the owners who advised that they would make the necessary corrections in order to keep the goats from escaping again.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2774 in Mineola, at approximately 9:25 p.m., in reference to a theft. The reporting party stated that actor, or actors unknown had stolen multiple items from her property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3580 in Winnsboro, at approximately 10:24 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Between the dates of May 29th to June 4th, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included the following: Mineola Police Department, Hawkins Police Department, Quitman Police Department, Department of Public Safety, Child Protective Services and UT Medical Center Quitman.
