Wood County Sheriff’s Report for May 22, 2019 – May 28, 2019

May 22nd

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on CR 4870 near Winnsboro; at approximately 2:54 a.m. William Luscomb, 38, of Yantis, was arrested for outstanding warrants.
Deputies were dispatched to Winding Trail near Hawkins, at approximately 5:46 a.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Known actors were in the reporting party’s residence without authorization.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2610 near Mineola, at approximately 9:52 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 2225 near Quitman, at approximately 10:09 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to Holiday Village Dr. near Quitman, at approximately 12:43 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s camper trailer. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies responded to a suspicious person on HWY 154 near Quitman; at approximately 1:29 p.m.
Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 1804 near Mineola, at approximately 1:56 p.m., in reference to theft.
Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3588 near Winnsboro, at approximately 2:26 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to Main St. in Yantis, at approximately 2:42 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 2:50 p.m., in reference to a possible assault. This case is active.
Deputies were dispatched to Oak Hollow Lane near Hawkins, at approximately 5:44 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 4510 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:02 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

May 23rd

Deputies were dispatched to Pacific St. in Hawkins, at approximately 12:39 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and they were separated for the night.

At 6:59 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Yantis.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 69 near Mineola, at approximately 7:34 a.m., in reference to theft.
Actors, or actors unknown, stole the reporting party’s vehicle. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to PR 6624 near Mineola, at approximately 9:10 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
At 11:06 a.m., cows were reported out on HWY 69 near Alba.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on CR 3811 near Hawkins, at approximately 3:17 p.m. Mitchell Beall, 26, of Hawkins, was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 3811 near Hawkins; at approximately 9:49 p.m.
Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

May 24th

At 7:09 a.m., horses were reported out on HWY 80 near Mineola.
At 8:28 a.m., cows were reported out on HWY 69 near Mineola.
Deputies were dispatched to Sioux near Quitman, at approximately 12:14 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 4570 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:15 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Actors, or actors unknown, damaged the reporting party’s lawn mower.
Deputies were dispatched to Orchard St. in Alba, at approximately 6:32 p.m., in reference to a dispute.
Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 4200 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:13 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on HWY 154 near Quitman; at approximately 9:56 p.m. Rocky Hoffman, 32, of Quitman, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1912 near Yantis, at approximately 11:20 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

May 25th

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on HWY 154 near Yantis; at approximately 1:28 a.m. Machan Meade, 22, of Yantis, was arrested for Public Intoxication.
Deputies were dispatched to Beaulah St. in Hawkins, at approximately 6:27 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1977 near Yantis, at approximately 10:02 a.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 779 near Quitman, at approximately 10:24 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 11:56 a.m., in reference to terroristic threat on HWY 37 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 1:52 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief on FM 779 near Mineola. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 14 near Quitman; at approximately 1:57 p.m. Sean Garza, 30, of Corpus Christi, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3440 near Hawkins, at approximately 2:00 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
At 3:30 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 1254 near Mineola.
At 4:40 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 852 in Winnsboro.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 2225 near Quitman, at approximately 5:56 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any signs of burglary.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3440 near Hawkins, at approximately 6:56 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 7:38 p.m., in reference to a possible burglary on CR 3520 near Hawkins. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on HWY 80 near Mineola; at approximately 9:32 p.m.
Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1943 near Yantis, at approximately 10:24 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individuals.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3164 near Quitman, at approximately 11:56 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies advised the individuals to lower the volume of the music and cleared the incident.

May 26th

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 1915 near Yantis; at approximately 1:06 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 779 near Alba, at approximately 1:23 a.m., in reference to a dispute.
Parties were separated for then night.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Hawkins, at approximately 4:14 a.m., in reference to burglary.
Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s residence. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1947 near Yantis, at approximately 7:55 a.m., in reference to theft.
Actors, or actors unknown, stole an inflatable raft from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies responded to a suspicious person on HWY 69 near Mineola; at approximately 9:26 a.m.
Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Mineola, at approximately 9:45 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 2869 near Hawkins; at approximately 1:54 p.m.
Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3130 near Quitman, at approximately 2:48 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to Kirby St. in Alba, at approximately 4:57 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 near Winnsboro, at approximately 6:38 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
At 6:41 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1460 near Quitman.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1610 near Alba, at approximately 6:54 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies advised the individuals to lower the volume of the music and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2260 near Mineola, at approximately 9:50 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Conner Henson, 19, of Gilmer, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.


May 27th

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 8:26 a.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s storage building. This case is active.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 8:52 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the day.
Deputies were dispatched to Lake Holbrook, at approximately 1:17 p.m., in reference to theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole the reporting party’s phone. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 1:28 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 779 near Mineola, at approximately 1:45 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. A known actor damaged the reporting party’s vehicle. This case is active.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3340 near Hawkins, at approximately 2:48 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Actors, or actors unknown, attempted to break into the reporting party’s residence. This case
is active.
Deputies were dispatched to Loop 564 near Mineola, at approximately 7:23 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3250 near Quitman, at approximately 9:50 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3144 near Quitman, at approximately 10:35 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 1460 near Quitman, at approximately 10:42 p.m.

May 28th

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1416 near Quitman, at approximately 9:59 a.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Actors, or actors unknown, damaged the reporting party’s building. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1688 near Alba, at approximately 2:54 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Courtney Menne, 22, of Mineola, was arrested for outstanding warrants.
At 5:13 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2966 near Quitman.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Yantis, at approximately 5:35 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 6:14 p.m., in reference to a fire.
Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any signs of a fire.
Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to FM 312 near Winnsboro; at approximately 11:24 p.m.
Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2088 near Quitman, at approximately 11:30 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Leigh Ann Nipp, 43, of Quitman, was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence.
Between the dates of May 22 and May 28, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included the following: Mineola Police Department, Winnsboro Police Department
and Emergency Medical Services.

Between the dates of May 22 and May 28, Wood County Sheriff’s investigators obtained 1 arrest warrant and arrested the individual.
Total Jail Count – 113 inmates – 90 males and 23 females.
