Willie Maude Stephens

Mrs. Willie Maude Stephens, age 87 of Winnsboro, passed away on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2016 in Winnsboro. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4th, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 5th, 2016 at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro at 10:00 am, Bro. Ronny Spence and John Skelton officiating, interment will follow at Smyrna Cemetery in Winnsboro, with Donny Rowell, David Rowell, Eric Hart, Joey Hart, Jeremy Baber, and Dusty Allen serving as pallbearers. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart to Heart Hospice.

She was born on May 22nd, 1929 in Winnsboro to the late Eligh Thomas and Ollie Mae Nichols Thomas. She was a retired seamstress and homemaker, and was a member of Pineview Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 35 years, J.D. Stephens; son, Jimmie Don Stephens; sisters, Ruth Bank, Margie Allen, Katherine Wallis, and Hazel Screws.

She is survived by, her daughter, Jean Kirby of Winnsboro; brother David Screws and wife Linda of Pickton; sisters, Bobbie Sue of Lockney, Mary Wilburn of Winnsboro; grandchildren, Grant Hornbuckle and wife Kathie of Winnsboro, Gregg Hornbuckle and wife Deanna of Quitman, Belinda Shaw of Spring; one great-grandchild, Kelsey Hornbuckle; numerous nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.
