Graveside service for Lillian Gee Murray, age 97, of Sulphur Springs will be held 2 p. m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Shooks Chapel Cemetery with Rev. James Diamond officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Mrs. Murray passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
She was born September 14, 1918 in Como, TX to Lester Canady Byrd and Lovey Louise Mosley Byrd. She married Pat Murray on Feb. 9, 2003 in Sulphur Springs. He survives. Lillian was an owner of Gee Glass & Mirror for 32 years. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club and a member of First Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by one sister, Bonnie Barton of Dallas, five nieces and three nephews.
Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Harold L. Byrd, Billy P. Byrd, and Lester Byrd, Jr., sisters, Sybil Kennedy, Francis Coker, and Earlene Davis.
