Funeral Services for J.W. Nichols, age 67 of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Kyle Ray officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mr. Nichols passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Trinity Mother Frances in Tyler. He was a retired truck driver for Northeast Texas Farmers Co-op and a member of the Journey Baptist Church.
He was born on October 12, 1948, the son of Wren and Vera (Meeks) Nichols in Como. He married Deborah Clapper on December 8, 1973 in Como. She survives.
Other survivors include daughter, Christy Harmon and husband, Jeremy of Sulphur Springs; sons, John Nichols of Sulphur Springs and David Wisdom of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren, Joshua Harmon, Shania Harmon, Cassandra Harmon and Sami Harmon and sister, Janice Wilkinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
