FisherFuneral services for Betty Lou Fisher, age 82, of Yantis will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Phelps officiating.  Interment will follow at Yantis Cemetery with Jamie House, Lenny House, Lynn Fisher, Tim Smolen, Dylan Beech, Michael Smolen, Shannon Beech, Jeremy Almand and Lance Mabe serving as pallbearers.  Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 28, 2015 at West Oaks Funeral Home.  Mrs. Fisher passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at her residence.

Mrs. Fisher was born on July 5, 1933 in Valdasta, TX the daughter of Cecil Edward Green and Bessie Farley Green.  She married Edward “Eddie” Fisher on June 16, 1950 in McKinney, TX.  He preceded her in death.  Mrs. Fisher and her husband owned and operated a dairy farm for many years.   She also ran Shady Oak Grocery for a time.  She loved to cook and was Granny to everyone.

She is survived by her son, Freddie Fisher and wife Linda of Yantis, daughter, Jettie Winkler and husband Mark of Quitman, daughter-in-law, Connie Fisher of Yantis, grandchildren, Tammy, Kristi, Jamie, Lenny, Kelly, Shannon, Lynn, Kimberly, Mark, Renee and Tonya, 16 great-grandchildren, and 6 step-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, son, Teddy Lynn Fisher, grandson, Eddie Eugene Fisher, great-grandson, Montana Lane Fisher, brothers, E. C. Green, Jack Green, Charles Green, sisters, Othel Duncan, Ruth Barnett, Katy Holloway  and Jim Price.

Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
